A lot of people tend to be fake on the internet and not themselves in person. I have never dated online nor will I. If i cant speak to the person face to face and have that "physical" attraction and desire then i don't see the point. Thats like saying you travel a lot or love the outdoors, but your always in side chatting on the internet. If your older I could see it happening, but not under 30.  OMG all us poor oldies..  yes i hear 30 is the new 60

It's possible, but LDR's SUCK! No they don't. They can be beautiful. They CAN be, but works better for some than for others. For some reason I keep finding myself in them.   I wanna hold you too Aaron.

Your experience and patience displayed dedication, what you need is one good, honest, loyal and committed man. Making LDR work for both of you will be very challenging and consider the unimaginable tons of stress that will come with it. But so they say, "No pain, no gain". In your case if you think you can handle it, go for it. Just always prepare yourself both for better and worse.
Personally, I tried this kind of ldr, it was a-three-cute-fun-days of my internet life. Conclusion: I therefore conclude that ldr was fun but dreadful period. No further recommendation.  Good luck on your journey and all the best

Why are there so many asain woman on here trying to date american men? Don't get me wrong i love asain women but why should i spend thousands trying to bring them here, or travel half way around the world to see them, when there are plenty of asian women already here? You complain that these two men have not come to see you, have you made any effort to travel to them? What do you have to offer these men if anything or are you just looking for a free ride? |

Yes I'm a software engineer but not practicing it now, I graduated 7 years ago and I realized programming is not my call so I shifted to becoming a writer. Today I am enjoying my home-based job, I mean jobs since I am catering several employers from different countries online - that's where I make money, better than any professionals do here. I am a certified technical writer based on oDesk.com, but still I do some website maintenance and updates. Well, I'm gifted so what can I say - I guess I make better than other Americans do LOL (not bragging). May be this intimidates any white guy to pursue me because I can afford to give him FREE ride |

I'm not sure if this will still work ... I've been in this whole online dating since I was 26, and have had 2 steady relationships - one 3 years, and one 4 years plus. Only thing that I haven't anticipated was the chance of meeting - both guys didn't make their ways to come and see me, though both have promised that they will. Both have financial problems, but I wonder why they haven't assessed their capabilities before committing on something - this what really makes my heart sink. For now I am giving my last try, although there's this one guy whom I have met face to face already, who likes me, but I am not sure about my feelings for him. Is it still possible to meet the One on here?  Possible, but not that likely on the free sites. The subscription only sites seem to attract people who are really serious. The free ones tend to be full of flakey types and scammers. |

I think you just need to find someone local. If it didnt work the first time, shame on them. It didnt work the second time, shame on you (not trying to be an a hole). You need someone not the thought of someone.

FYI: These two men had so much from me. In fact I have offered the latter with the following: 1. Money for passport fee - CASH UPFRONT (but he never got one) 2. Whole amount for plane tickets 3. Expense-free hotel accommodation 4. Expense-free Wedding 5. Thousands of phonecards (when I was the one calling him) 6. House to stay when married, if he wanted to live in the Philippines 7. Last month I tried my fortune on getting a US tourist visa just to go see him, but unfortunately was turned down - US Embassy hates single people visiting the USA - weird but aren't we allies??? I just wanted to help, I knew this man has financial issues. But because of my great love for him, I was willing to give all. Don't get me wrong - I'm Asian but never asked a white man for a free ride. Damn, I'm just soo good :( sweetheart ya gettin' scammed methinks |

I know I'm not the best looking, most attractive, sweap you off your feet guy. BUT I do know i am funny careing and I'm not ugly. Average, so either I'm doing something wrong and i dont notice it, or its a fraud/waste. |
