Luckily the repubs have enough seats to keep him in check.

But, will they actually try to work with him this time, since they're unable to make sure he's a one term president now?

I think this is the most important post on this entire thread!

I'm surprised you guys are still bickering when we need to start working together to stabilize things after 20 years of a changing world. You who are posting negative pics need to grow up. I have voted on both sides of the stupid fence that has been built by "US". You and me are voting the people in and instead of taking down our country you should be spending your energy building it up. Fools can tare, but if you are a reasonable American you should be involved in more than a lynching mob. I didn't get involved in the politic threads for 1 reason during this campaign, and your seeing it here.

Thank you Sing for putting up this very important issue. If all people can do is point that tells me no one is listening. This election as well as the last several I have spent my time listening and doing. And based on what I have seen over a lot more than the last 9 months is the two parties are trying with all of their might not to work with the other. You can blame this on the Pres all you want and blame everything that doesn't go your particular way on him as well. I can also guaranty you, you "will" end up not progressing where you are now over 4 years from now whether the rest of us do or not.

Now have fun taking my words and twisting them like some of you have been doing this whole election on both sides with each other, just like they do on the hill. That shows real maturity for those who really do care. If things haven't and don't go your way it's because of you and no one else. We all have tough roads but also the ability to change the map if we care enough to get involve more than on a forum that lets you color with your crayons.

Did I vote? Yes. Did I vote party lines? What are those? Did I talk negative about any candidate? Why would I, I was busy enough studying the issues and learning.

Now answer Sings question, are you willing to work together and not just point saying "their the ones not playing fair"?

Washington is only as grown up as we are.

He was called a communist, a socialist, a Muslim, an anti American, was not born in America, all was said by racists, the hamstringing attempts only wasted time and divided the country. And he won!!, with all the ugly attempts to derail everything he attempted to do, and still he won. But the best thing out of all this is the crow thats on the face of all those who had nothing to do but spew nonsence and racist innuendo disguised as patroitism. Now ill enjoy their silence as they dwell in misery. Now that is the best part of all.bigsmile

Careful not to taunt prematurely.

There's enough crow for all I would suppose.

Not everyone who disagrees with Obama's politics is racist.

That implication, too, is unfair.

As of yet, which of those suppositions has been proven to be false?

His politics divided the country.

Too many swift changes has caused the chaos.

America couldn't take all that lying down.

Furthermore,

The American people neither want a dictator nor a puppet to usher in The New World Order nor a neo socialism.

I hope that He has learned

that the American citizen have high expectations from our elected officials.

His first 4 yrs was a wake up call for each of us.

(For him as well)

Good post Miss Rose! .....Democrats and Republicans alike will be demanding Obama not only find, but implement bipartisan solutions to the myriad of problems facing America....Obama squandered his first two years in office pushing through a massive stimulus package, faulty health care laws, and Wall Street regs in order to avoid a full blown depression...He failed to bring unemployment down to "healthy" levels as promised and the only "change"" he managed to achieve in Washington made party divisiveness even worse....He spent his second two years concentrating on re-election as problems at home and abroad mounted....Good for him, he pulled it off, now it's time for him to unite the parties and put Washington to work ...Aside from facing a fiscal cliff (we all know what that means) at year end, Obama must get a handle on foreign policy and national security issues which include
Iran's nuclear program...
North Korea's nuclear program...
Mounting instability in the ME...
China's ever growing military and economic power in the Pacific...
Europe's debt crisis...
And much, much more....

there is no way with the added medical expense with some disabilitys they could have paid that much into the program to cover want they are getting for free now... don't get mad at me cuz I have a retirement I worked for...

social security medicare is not free you have a premium payment for your medical coverage. this premium is while you are collecting your benefit you receive xxx amount and then they deduct xxx amount for your medicare premium unless you choose not to have medicare

so if you buy a new car today for 23000$ and you total it in 45 days you would not expect your insurance to pay the full amount of the value of the car because you have not paid in enough yet

i am sure that your insurance company would love that

they take the risk by setting the premiums to the point they hope they make money just like your payroll tax for social security is a premium.

if you can only get as much as you pay in why would you pay the premiums.

what about the people like my parents that payed in all their working life and die before they collect anything should their estate receive all the money they paid in. that sure did not happen.

Thanks for actually responding to this question. Not one other person has so far. Perhaps they think the conservatives should still try to block everything and not work together to get anything done.

I didn't vote for any official candidate. I am rather glad that Obamney won in this case, however. The evil one knows is better than the evil one doesn't. May the GOP die a horrible death for not nominating Ron Paul. drinker drinker

OP, you expected silence to be a result? Silly you.... I have heard the same garbage for so long now that I have it memorized and can almost predict what will be said. It will not change. The GOP is swamped with white racists and until they let it go, it will not change. Half or more don't even realize they are racists. How do you make them realize it? Combine that with the religious bigots, sexual orientation bigots, economic status bigots, class bigots, etc... They all claim the conservative ticket too. It won't stop. Just be glad that the majority is attending school and learning with an open mind. Education really is the enemy of ignorance.

I'm not so sure the above is nonsense. I've read today that a lot of Republicans declined to vote because they didn't feel they had a candidate they could support.

As a "Rockefeller" or "Goldwater" Republican, I have no party. So, I did the only thing I could do, I went out and voted for the Libertarian.

then they should have went and voted and either voted off party or wrote in a person of their choosing

abstaining from voting just furthers the political machines agenda

would they have won this no next time probably not time after that maybe or maybe they would offer people candidates instead of machine candidates when they see so many votes getting away from them

no you need more people not voting for lesser of two evils

there were 4-5 parties on the ballot in ohio

green - libertarian - republican - democrat - constitution

here is a list of states and obtions this election

http://www.politics1.com/p2012-ballot.htm

http://www.politics1.com/p2012.htm

their is no shortage of options just a shortage of voters willing to not vote for whom they dont want because of the if you vote elsewhere you vote for the other guy line

and dont realize the other guy is almost the same as that guy
