I 'recognize' the topic of the threads that others begin,, I no more refuse to aknowledge other minorities, anymore than a certain poster refused to aknowledge other COUNTRIES

but the posts here are started about America and also about a specific minority (blacks) so that is what gets a response from me and several others,,,

I am aware of the definition of racism.

an example of racism is how my posts in a thread started by others on a RACIAL issue are the only ones attacked as somehow 'racist',,,,,,,its a prejudging of the person stating the opinion rather than a judging of the statement itself

in fact, I see where others post almost EXACTLY what I post in different words and the reaction they get is quite different

but that's just my perception,, life goes on,, for me and all those posting,,,

1.racism is not a crime, prejudice is not a crime, whomever practices it

no more than 'lust' is a crime or 'hate' is a crime

when it manifests in action that results in OPPRESSION however it becomes an issue that needs to be dealt with

just like when lust results in pillaging, or when hate results in violence,,,


its the results, not the emotions,,,that we respond to and try to intercede in,,,

3. ethnic pride can be anything from being proud of the accomplishments of ones ancestors to feeling yourself superior to EVERYONE else because of who your ancestors were, the former is not an issue , the latter is a type of bigotry, both are personal feelings and not crimes either.

4. resistance is a natural human reaction to things a human perceives as harmful to their way of life or comfort level, it should be expected that people will resist to things that threaten them in some way,, it is telling of a person what things they are resistant to,, by way of telling us what benefits they already perceive themselves t have that they are trying to protect

5. acknowledging the existence of something (racism, a handicap, sexism, poverty) is not the same as 'blaming' something
