Topic: My Biggest Red Flag

My biggest test in a relationship is Can she do mundane things as a couple?

For example, can we grocery shop together? You'd be surprised how many women I thought I was a "couple" with could not grasp this. I would explain that couples do things together. When I would do it with my ex, she would often magically disappear even if I looked down every aisle. Perhaps she feared I would pick up some Monostat (vaginal itch creme) and yell down the aisle- is this what you wanted- yeah I am a prick that way. Anyhow it got so bad I ended up doing the grocery shopping for a family of four, which included the newspaper coupon cutting alone. I took this as the sign we were drifting apart and there was nothing I could do about it.

What are your biggest red flags and why?

No humor.
This includes those who think they are funny, but aren't.
It would ruin my life to be around non laughers, non smilers
or non empathizers.

Upbeat works for me :-)

Nonchalance.
What soufie said but without any passion also.
It would suck if they weren't excited about something in life.

When, for the umteenth time, I heard her say,
"My life sucks,
God hates me,
It's all your fault".

Someone who is pushy, rude, or act superior to others ; especially business people who are providing a service such as wait staff or cashiers.

No sense of humour is a big red flag.

Smokers/Drug users is also a flag. Drinking I can...tolerate in moderation and if she is responsible while doing it. (I don't expect my significant other to follow my lifestyle choices of no smoking/drugs/alcohol so I have to compromise on something)

substance abuse, negative or chauvanistic attitudes about women, long term unemployment (without a medical reason or some sort of reasonable reason), tendency to anger quickly, tendency to make assumptions about others, gossip, racism....the only other one I can think if is poor spending habits.

Girls that have absolutely never done a drug.

Not all of you, as I'm sure from anyone that regularly reads my posts knows that I am accepting of all styles of life if you're a good person to others, no matter your beliefs.

But I believe your stories are mostly boring. Hahahaha.

Chronic negativity.
When a person can never see the good, but can only focus on the bad.
I cannot be like that, or be around that type of attitude toward life.

What a silly thing for those women to have trouble with.

My biggest one? Misogyny/chauvinism, and to the point there is only a response of "Well, I'm just being honest," if you dare call them out on it. I also can't stand when an explanation is taken for osme kind of excuse, guys who can't seem to drum up anything to talk about yet claim boredom . . . because of the lack of conversation. Ugh, I'm beginning to get rankled. How's about some humoooor? Without degrading somebody/some group, too. That would be nice. Where did all the silly humor go?

My ex would say he never cared what we did, as long as we did it together. He had the right idea.

For the last few years the one trend I noticed was whenever I went on vacation with a boyfriend, we'd always break up after. So that is something I stay aware of when i'm dating..when we can go on vacation together, then I know things have a better chance at working...so far it's proved right...i've never been on vacation with any guy and had the relationship last longer then 6 months.

And this: esp a guy that drinks too much. I can't live with ppl that drink too much and/or too often
substance abuse, negative or chauvanistic attitudes about women, long term unemployment (without a medical reason or some sort of reasonable reason), tendency to anger quickly, tendency to make assumptions about others, gossip, racism....the only other one I can think if is poor spending habits.
