yup, and crystal, I have issues with past "short man syndrome". I do not feel safe with the shorter men anymore.

Nope, that and the STD's. Didn't he have Syphilis that ate his brain away? laugh Just like my like ex's brain. Course, I think it was his huffing that I had no idea that he did for 18 years. sick Ex stood 5'7". One inch taller than me. Dating shorter men was ALWAYS a mistake for me.

hahahahahaha

Better be careful, real short women usually come with a bite ...
bitchy .. yappy.. bite ..

Reminds me of my neighbour .. single woman, reaches somewhere between my elbows and my boobs, if she's wearing her high heals that is. (she's got some disease causing her to be that short).. First time I met her, to ask if I could please pretty please use her bathroom ... knocked on the door .. my eyes where you sort of expect someone to turn up .. door opens .. nothing noway some half a meter lower was my new neighbour lol
.. was very very awkward

brad pitt, matt damon, mark wahlberg, mel gibson, tom cruise, and robert downey jr....were all going to join mingle, but changed their minds because, all being under six feet tall, they didn't feel they had a chance in hell against the taller guys...

If it is the first meet I would stay talk to them and make the best of it. But there would not be a second meet/date.

If I'm not into them I will not keep dating them. To me that is unfair to the other person cause they may be thinking there is more to the situation...

If i want to go out I would rather go alone then be with someone I don't enjoy being with....whoa

You can still enjoy being with them ... just that the person is erm .. friend-zoned I guess.

If they are just friends and I enjoy doing things with them that is different... But normally that happens if we started out nothing but friends.. I still talk to some of my exes from time to time.. But never on a buddy system type thing where we do things together ect... Myself I don't think it is a great idea to be super friendly with exes or someone I was looking to see if there was a connection... And I don't date those that I have in the friend zone.. They are in that zone for a reason...whoa

you know upfront that the date isn't the one you want?

Some say you should anyway, unless of course he/she really makes you feel 'eewwww', because A) you get out there where you might meet someone who is right. And B) to keep working or "maintaining" your dating skills.

Okay, fair enough argument. But still ..
For me it's mostly them being shorter. I know upfront that that is not going to work out for me. But do you still date shorter men? Is it fair to them?
Or do you guys maybe date a taller woman with similar feelings, just doing it to get out there, but not being into them.

How do you deal with this? you just go out and have a good time, or do you only go out with ppl that could become more than just a date?
Jesus Crystal, well how tall are are you or it's not that?surprised tongue2

I don't think 'biting' is quite what he was envisioning :-)

Lol like I said, I'm not that tall at all, 1.78M
But 9 out of 10 ppl in the area here are shorter .. Not just men, women as well. So people born and bred here have no problem finding someone..
The area I'm from people are taller. Kind of weird that regional differences are that substantial. I think on average men here are some 10 cm shorter than men where I'm from ... I really moved to the wrong place .. ohwell
Maybe they've eaten too much fish here for too many generations..

Personally I couldn't date someone for just having a date. I'd have to have some sort of connection somehow with the woman to even ask her out. This is a big reason why I haven't been on a date in almost 18 months now. Plus, just know I'm not a cup of tea that most would enjoy. ohwell

Won't date anyone I'm not attracted to, or to keep dating skills up, or someone I'm not completely at ease with!! Simple as that!
