Already gave up on telly.
Okay, I do watch series, but online, not on telly  *is that cheating?*
If I had to give up on those as well in order to have music ... then I think I'd go without music for a month.

YEP. Giving up TV for a month is "within the realm of possibility" for me, but music?? No way...

I've been through living without telly, and it's weird. I used to put the radio on, but it just wasn't the same. I'd hate that to happen again. I'll go without music. It was just too odd, when my old telly stopped working.

Would you rather give up music or television for a month?

What would I get in return?

If nothing then I could give up either for a month. Flip a coin.

If I'm getting a million, a billion, or five bucks, then I could give up both in the hopes of doubling the jackpot.

It's only a month.

Unless you're going to pull out some sort of rule for this arbitrary situation where it's like "if you ever hum, or whistle, or have a song enter your head unbidden, having given up music, then you are immediately killed," or "if you give up t.v. and you ever make a television show or movie reference, or talk about a past t.v. show, or talk about any kind of current event or news story that was on t.v. and you didn't experience yourself first hand, then you're immediately killed."

Then I'd probably choose music as it'd be easier to stop musical references and actions for me.

Telephone. Anyway, commercials get on my wits end. Not only are they patronising, they're predictable, and don't reflect reality, and are age-ist istJust because I'm in my fifties, doesn't mean I'm definitely going to end up claiming life insurance. And no, I'm not interested in PPI claiming. Geez. Give me a break.

The band I sing for would be bummed if I gave up music for a month.

I can play music in my head any time I wish. I can imagine stories any time I wish.

So it's a toss up for me, for the opposite reason: either choice would be an annoyance, either choice would be tolerable.

Here's the obvious question back: why would this ever even come up?
