oh so you want one of those rifles they used in wwI that holds 5 rounds

the newer rifles have magazines that hold as many as 100 rounds

clips hold the ammo and you push the ammo into the magazine permanently contained in the rifle

if you plan on doing as you suggest i advise more training

think this was more of a sending a message type of move...lots of hostilities going on globally...chest thumping etc...I think dropping a 21,600 lb. bomb gets the point across...

From BBC News:

At least 90 militants from the Islamic State (IS) group were killed by a huge bomb dropped by the US in Afghanistan, a regional governor says.

The most powerful non-nuclear bomb ever used by the US in combat was dropped on an IS base in Nangarhar province.

A network of tunnels and caves was destroyed on Thursday evening local time, US officials said.

Unless one has gone into those destroyed tunnels and caves to do a body count, the real number of casualties may be never known.

Let's send a message.
Get the Gideons to hand out bibles.
Better yet...send the Jehovah Witnesses.
Maybe they'll stay away from my front door.

Double WIN

The number of militants killed in an attack by the largest non-nuclear weapon ever used in combat by the U.S. military has risen to 94, an Afghan official said Saturday.

Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for the provincial governor in Nangarhar, said the number of dead from the group Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) was up from the 36 reported a day earlier. A ministry of defence official had said Friday the number of dead could rise as officials assessed the bomb site in Achin district.

"Fortunately there is no report of civilians being killed in the attack," Khogyani said.

16 million to kill at best a hundred? hmmmm $170.000 each. It would have been effective to just airdrop McDonald's burgers, you'd have killed far more. When bullets cost as little as 67 cents??? No wonder you're economy's on the brink of collapse. "Oh, well let's go play some more golf, Mr President". drinker

It is not really a question of how many were killed. The dropping of the bomb was more of a psychological move more then a killing the bad guy move.

What it did was render one tunnel that was used to ferry terrorists and supplies back and forth useless for a very long time

But above that it sent a message that we know were the tunnels are and we will destroy them when we want to. So, for Akbar Abdul Kareem and friends who are using these tunnel everyday.. they do not know if the next minute will be their last one.

Either blown to pieces outright or buried alive.. either way it tends to ruin their day :)
