I've had a lot of great relationships over my years, yes, including my marriage (for most of it).
The qualities that made them great were unique to the relationship and the person/people I was in a relationship with.

I think a positive mindset of all parties involved is the most significant.
It makes it easy when people that are together want to be there.

The amazing depth of the connection.
And me being able to be more feminine than ever before. That was mostly because of my own growth, but also because with him I could be that way as he could receive that. I hadn't come across that in a man yet.
But now that I know what it's like, and also now that I am embodying that, I will need that in my next partner as well.

Best relationship: Being young, stupid, and ignorant, everything was great, including relationships. No hangups, no suspicions, just curiosity and wonder.

Then the rose coloured glasses fell off and reality crept in.
Jealousy, rejection, peer group pressure, family, competitors, and fickle attitudes to friendships all made relationships more painful and hard work.

Now I know too much, and am very wary, and weary; teenage years hurt more but were more fun. happy

well not gonna lie
there was some pain involved at first
I admit I ate things I probably should not have
gained some weight
was moody at times
but that all changed
when they came into the world
oh sure there were the sleepless nights
the trying to figure out what they wanted
me repeating myself over and over
but in the long run
things are working out alright

they know they are the loves of my life
others may call me stubborn, opionated, mouthy or mean

these two? they just call me mom

What made your best relationship.... ...the best relationship?

A lack of stress or demand of focus from other variables such as money, job, family, friends, health, etc., allowing an adequate and appropriate amount of mindful focus on her/the relationship, as well as a level of personal fulfillment giving me purpose and something positive to share/offer.

The same thing that made my best relationship the best was what also caused it's undoing. It was a case of opposites attract, it was great for a long time, we always gave one another a different way to look at things. As we aged and became more stubborn however, instead of growing into one, we stayed complete opposites and it became contentious and we did nothing but fight after awhile.

Hmmmmm...let's see.....

-Her cooking naked
-Role play sex
-Her not bothering me until halftime (of the football game)
-Her not maxing out the credit cards on purses and shoes
-Me learning to cook naked
-Me building her a she shed....with a big walk in closet

Ahhhhh the things we do for love.
