I suggest we make a deal between the religious and nonreligious, by respecting both freedom of religion and freedom of sex, without judging each other.

Though I am not sure what an individual would do if sides gave each other the hypno-eye.

Thoughts?

I'm all in favour of this. I'll give you your freedom of religion if you point me in the right direction for the free sex.

Umm, religious people have sex, too. So, what's the point?

I think it depends upon what is meant by 'judging'. If it means to not form opinions, I dont think it is possible or human. If it means to not discard or dehumanize others, I think it is a good idea.

You're probably doing it wrong.

Hahaha, I just noticed the man and woman on the box;
He must be the religious one because he does have his hands going for her throat.

On topic...

What about "Freedom FROM religion?"

What about "Freedom FROM religion?"

That goes with freedom FROM sex. indifferent

The challenge of living up to "freedom of religion" has always been that many religions include making very anti-free demands on literally everyone else on the planet.

It's a problem we've been having yet again recently, where some religious people have demanded the right to treat people whose beliefs they disagree with, differently than they deal with fellow believers, including everything from refusing to serve them in public situations, to refusing to allow them access to government services, even to permitting them to break laws that others are held to, as an expression of their religion.

Who's "we?"
A third group?

by respecting both freedom of religion and freedom of sex, without judging each other.

To what degree?
How fanatical and proselytizing can someone's religion get, how outrageous and non private can someones sex freedom get, before judging is allowed?
Or do I have to tolerate sacrificing virgins, and bestiality?

Though I am not sure what an individual would do if sides gave each other the hypno-eye.

The individual may be too preoccupied trying to avoid tithing monetarily, penitently, or sexually.

Thoughts?

Deal or no deal?
No deal! I am going to judge people a-holes and causes terrible when random acolytes start knocking at my door soliciting religion and/or sexual favors.

You have people knocking at your door solicitating sexual favors?
I'm looking for a new place to live.
Where do you live?
Is the rent affordable.
Talk about ammenities!

Hypno-eye......I believe that came from the Salem Witch Hunts....like people could tell a woman was a witch if she gave you "that look...of the devil!". That or men back then saw a woman look at them with "that look" and had an affair....to which the woman was burned at the stake because she was a whore and a witch. That Hypno-eye got you in trouble.

Times have changed.
My GF tells me I melt her with a look.
I try not to look at her so much.
I don't want to be responsible for melting another human being, not to mention the mess I would have to clean up after.

I don't know when I developed a "Hypno Eye"? Maybe my X made it happen.
I know that every woman I have had any relationship with since her has told me I melt her with a look.

Is there some kind of statue of limitation on being able to sue for damages?
It would be nice to regain some of what she took from me.
Not that I need it but, hehehe, would love to do it...

Oh, wait...
Can I patent my specific "Hypno Eye"?
It would be cool to get royalties from it.
Now that would be justice.
Hell, I'd even acknowledge her contribution but she wouldn't see a dime.
Its MY "Hypno Eye" not hers.

I like my "Hypno Eye".
Its mine.
I'm thinking maybe I should get a special box for it so it doesn't get damaged by wear and tear.
Wrap it in bubble wrap an all that.
Only take it out on special occassions.
Yeah (now where did I put that bubble wrap)
(I had it when I wrapped up my very last feeling)
Yeah, everyone seemed to be stepping on my very last feeling so I wrapped it in bubble wrap and sealed it in a box.
I only take it out once in awhile to pet it.

Once up upon a time... Not that long ago.
In a distant land, not far from here.

Giving someone 'that look' of contempt...
Yeah, that was called "givin' someone the 'stink eye' ".

Pretty much, the look i give anyone, who tries to yammer
at me before about 9:30 a.m..

How would this become reality ., rather than a utopian ideal ???.. . Are you suggesting a legal enforcement of respect and protection of values /morals???? Sounds more like another form of social control .

Oh wow, you are realy trying to put this back on topic.
Bravo [clapping].

Okay, let's see...
Hang on, gotta go look at the OP again....

I suggest we make a deal between the religious and nonreligious, by respecting both freedom of religion and freedom of sex, without judging each other.

Though I am not sure what an individual would do if sides gave each other the hypno-eye.

Thoughts?

The first thing I notice is "I Suggest"
This indicates that the OP thinks there is a problem that needs a solution.
It also indicates that the OP thinks they have a solution to a problem they think we have.
Okay, I can understand that mentality...

The next thing I see is "deal".
This indicates that an agreement needs to be made among 7.680 Billion people.
Frankly, I don't see any such 'deals' ever being made.

Now we come to a division of Religious and Non-religious.
Not sure if anyone is paying attention but, there are many groups that fall between those extremes. At 7.680 Billion people, many indeed.
But, for simplicity sake (wait, why must I compromise on reality?).
Nevermind.

Now we come to the idea of 'respect'.
Respect is not and never has been a universal value.
Respect is a purely personal thing that one person feels for another.
Since there are 7.680 Billion people on this planet Right Now, respect is, for the most part, unidentifiable.
So, we are talking about a personal value applied to masses.
Not realistic.

So now we get to "freedom of religion".
This is where it gets way out there.
Religion is a personal experience felt within that establishes a belief structure.
While many people might agree on some parts of any religion, the actual belief structure that forms within is based on purely person details.
This means, in reality, there are 7.680 Billion different religions right now.
I have yet to meet anyone that is completely faithful to any religion that is also completely faithful to anyone else. Belief is purely personal.

Now we get to the subject on the minds of most people looking for a date.
"Freedom of sex".
As an adult in a free nation, I have always had freedom of sex.
I choose who I have sex with.
They choose to have sex with me.
We call the opposite 'rape'.
I don't know the OP's cultural origins but if being told which God to worship and rape is a cultural norm, that is their business. In my nation and my culture those practices are against the law.
But, to each their own, an all that.

Judging each other is another point of conflict for me.
EVERYBODY judges one another.
It keeps us safe.
Without it, any perverted mind could gain an advantage over us.
Judging is not a bad thing.
What you do with the judgement you make is what makes it bad or good and only from a societal point of view.
Take society and laws out of the scenario and its all just a personal preservation tactic.

"I am not sure" speaks volumes to me.
It is obvious.

"Sides" implies a definitive separation.

"Hypno Eye", now that is fun.
We can go many ways with that and I come back to this thread to see how others add to it.

The bottom line is, this makes no sense.
I don't think it was ever meant to make any rational sense.
I give cudos to the OP for inspiring the Hypno Eye.
We need more Hypno Eye.
There can never be enough Hypno Eye.
Lord knows, the population societal masses are under some type of Hypno Eye or they wouldn't agree to do some of the insane things they do.

Now, Kid...
No disrespect intended.
But, your name, Arf, reminds me of Arlo Guthrie.
Which reminds me of Alice's Restaurant.
Which wasn't really a restaurant.
And, the 27, 8x10 color glossies, of the scene of the
crime.
The crime of littering, to get rid of the VW Microbus
full of garbage, Arlo hauled off from Alice's Restaurant.
Which reminds me, of the rakes and shovels, and other
implements of destruction, used to clean up after
themselves for littering.

Remember those 27, 8x10 color glossies of the scene
of the crime?

Which, brings us back to Alice's Restaurant.
Which wasn't really a restaurant.
But, an old converted church.

And, then...
There's the Group W bench.

Hahaha!
Makes me hungry for a Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner LOL
Thank you for that.
And yeah, his name makes me think that too.
But hey, real story.
One Thankgiving I helped my BIL dump some trash out of sight-out of mind.
He got arrested because they found his name on a piece of mail in the garbage.
They identified me as a an accomplice because they had pictures of us dumping the trash.
We had to pay $50 and pick up ALL the garbage, which wasn't all ours.

Then when I went into the Navy, in indoc I had to sit on a special bench for people that had an arrest record.
No lie.
I love that record.
Now, I don't want a pickle, I just want to ride my motor-cicle.

Laughing OUT loud right now.
Luvin M2.
