I will say it trust ..because with trust we have ..Understanding,love ,honesty,faith,sincere and more ....because trust is human love heart .

Couples that make it for a long long time -and are still happy together- have similar norms & values and goals in life. And they communicate properly.

Faith. Not so much in gods and the like, I mean faith in the idea of love, faith in the idea of living to make the relationship work, and faith in each other. People wont do any of the work required to maintain and grow a relationship, unless they believe in the idea that work is required.

What are some of the things that you think keeps relationship for ever till death do us apart ? Being able to adapt. We change.....we all think we stop changing once we get married. However, the fact is that we simply keep changing. Couples have to learn to adapt and deal with one another.

What are some of the things that you think keeps relationship for ever till death do us apart ? Having been married 41+ years... Not in any particular order. 1) Commitment. Some of those years were not so great. But we were committed to making it work and not giving up. We were always glad we got past whatever it was and our marriage was stronger for having gone through that. 2) Agreement on the deal breakers, and both partners making a sincere effort to not succumb to those things. Deal breakers can be whatever the couple agrees to. Violence, drug or alcohol abuse, criminal acts, infidelity... 3) Laughter 4) Intimacy 5) Treat each other with respect and courtesy 6) Apologize 7) Shared goals and values 8) Communicate 9) Putting up with each other's **** because we're all flawed I'm sure there are more.

Committed, laughter, family, fun, togetherness, talking. - That was my parents and how I think. They'd be together now but my mother died, younger.
