We all have heard it, perhaps said it ourselves. I need a vacation from my vacation! I am no one's Plus 1, Security Detail, Baggage Handler. Why would I ever take an 85 Honda Civic to Europe? I can go there myself. Rent a different Porsche every night. Not be told where to go, what not to do. And still come home with money in my pocket.

Being unattached at this moment , I am all for solo vacations... cause I never take sand to the beach ..
Come to think of it , I'd probably do the same if I had a Plus one .... coz then its truly a vacation from her anyway ....

I like to see all the sites when on holiday, being single I have gone solo for many years and I do get to see what I want to see.

I take solo road trips all the time. Go, stop, stay, eat what, where and when I want. It's heaven on earth.

When I was 24 and single, traveling down the Seine
river in Paris, I remember thinking, mon this
would be so much more meaningful were I with
someone special..and not just another boat ride ;-(

Having someone with you who's slower than you can be annoying, unless you're being chased by a polar bear.

I personally prefer with someone.. it's cheaper laugh

seriously tho.. experiencing and exploring new places, flavors etc is, to me, simply more fun when shared.. nothing more pleasurable than turning to a friend, partner, loved one and saying "wow, isn't that cool?" or "what do you think of THAT?" while creating memories that'll last a lifetime and can be re-shared whenever the feeling moves you

Would you be very happy if your partner was thinking of a holiday without you. It could be her going with the girls, or him going with the boys, for a week away somewhere or maybe cruise. I am not sure I would be happy with that, yet many people do, maybe I have trust issues or it's just I want to go as well. laugh

Not sure I would be okay with that.. maybe it's a trust issue for some.. but for me it's more "hey, I want take part in the fun too"

when in a relationship.. I believe things should be shared, together.. an occasional "boys night out" is fine by me.. however I personally don't need that kind of "space"... besides.. I've been doing the solo thang long enough and although okay with that, when IN a relationship, I'd rather spend the time together.. life's too short (and getting shorter by the day at our ages laugh )
