Was folding laundry and a thought hit me.
If some type of disaster hit your area and you had to pack one suitcase, besides socks and underwear, (the most asked for items in homeless shelters), and needed I.D.s passport etc., what would you pack?

Medications..so I could kill the headaches from all the bigots.

I live in Arkansas, we have tornadoes all the time so one of the things I have is an emergency backpack that is a kit with the blankets, water pills, first aid, etc. But I also travel a lot so I usually have a bag that is ready for about a weeks worth of clothes and what ever else I need.

Just like Noah did on the Ark.. LOL
2 sweatpants, 2 sweaters, 2 pairs of sneakers, 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of slippers, 2 sets of jammies, 2 pairs of gloves, toothbrush/paste, vitamins, a bunch of energy bars, a few bottles of water, a few rolls of toilet paper & a hair brush.

I'd be wearing rubber boots, a raincoat (over a warmer jacket) and a baseball cap.

A few ounces of Semtex to send some fascists into orbit. And of course catfood.

Myself several pairs of jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts,jogging pants, coat, sweater, over counter meds, sleeping bag, small tent, and any protection means I have..and of course those few things mentioned in the first post..

Ohh Phone and side charger...Plus protein bars and any food that is none perishable & bottles of water.

Maybe strange but I would grab a few small items that belonged to my parents and granny..

Humm yea I have a big suitcase on rollers..

But I would load it all in my trailer that hooks up to my Trike get all the gas I could, and go as far out of any town as I could.. Ohh Trike is always full..

oh yeah.. I guess a phone and charger would help huh.. thanks for the reminder Gal.. and maybe a battery with a solar panel?? it IS an emergency after all huh

Ohh they have the phone chargers that are solar powered..that comes with solar panels..

I have not bought one yet just seen them not a bad idea..

The extra charger I have for my phone I keep it fully charged just in case I loose power.

Upon reflection, I think I would just take Kristi.

There's been what, like 3 of them now + a spinoff movie?
I've got the DVDs, just have to carve the time out.

I'm quite sentimental and there are a few invaluable items that cannot be replaced.
So, I would grab my file of design illustrations. It's over 25 years old and it has already survived a flood despite being submerged in water.
I would also pull a framed black and white photograph of my Gran' and I suppose I would have to include Prof. Basquiat (my four year old orange cat).

I bought a power bank a few months ago. Keep that charged at all times. If it's a good one you can charge your phone 3-4 times with that :)

Crystal.... that is what I have is a power bank.. And yes it last a while... Plus can charge more than one device at a time.. I even have a cigarette lighter port on my Trike that I have a adapter for so I can charge right off the battery of my Trike..

It came in handy one time when I broke down about 35 minutes from my house.. Had to call my son to bring his horse trailer so we could load my Trike to get it to the shop..

I sat on my trike playing games for about an hour till he got there..

I hope that scenario never comes true... I'd hate to lose all my paintings! It'd break my heart.
And my crystals... (over 400)

I can't do with 1 suitcase. No way I'm leaving my 3 cats behind!! So they come with me one way or another.
And catfood.

Apart from that first my meds, which includes my hormones (if you quit taking oestrogen just like that you risk getting a heart attack!)

Definitely put my firestick in my pocket! And a flashlight. And a lighter.
Mobile & charger, power bank so I can charge it 4x with that.
(Rolling) tobacco and cigarette papers to roll a smoke!

Empty the bucket with emergency stuff in the suitcase. Has an emergency blanket, candles, food. Tablets to purify water.
Really warm clothes.

Certainly my pillow, which is a special one for people with neck issues.
And probably some of my crystals. Probably my fave crystal skull.

I got a real large trolley on wheels which I bought when I went to the US. So I can take quite a lot with me :D
