White racists always claim to have black friends, like I said it is how they console themselves. Around 1962 I was hitch-hiking south from Wash. DC with a friend. One ride we got was outside Atlanta at dusk by a cabbie who was black. He asked if we would like to see some real southern history in the making. He drove to some mountain, just outside Atlanta. Lots of cars were there with lots of people, all going to a huge bonfire. It was a Klan Rally. He knew virtually all the men in white robs and they all greeted each other as old friends. As several of the Klan members told us, everyone was considered 'family' and it was the outsiders, especially the 'yankees' and the Feds with blacks from up north that they were against, not the blacks that they all grew up with and lived around. In all the time we hitched around the old South, we never once saw or heard any ill will expressed by southern whites to southern blacks by local folks; outsider whites from some other southern states, yes, but the locals soon convinced them to adopt a more 'positive attitude' to 'their black folks'.... That trip was an eye opener in many ways.... You obviously saw what you wanted to see there. The whites in the south are so f ing racist and they have no clue they are. They were raised with it and are told it is the truth and they just go with it. There is no white to dispute it because they were all raised the same. ???? I "saw what I wanted to see"???? Of course, as all 15 year olds. Madam, you remind me of the stereotypical Red fascist,(as opposed to those 'brown shirted' ones.) You disgust me. Good because if I pleased you I would be ashamed of myself. I already said that I was far too generalized with that statement. There are a few whites in the south who outgrow what they are taught as tradition but not enough by far. |

No guns allowed at GOP meeting blasting “gun free zones”

Steve Stockman of Texas, bff of gun-nut and NRA board member Ted Nugent, is holding a very special meeting in the US Capitol building next week to blast President Obama and the entire notion of “gun free zones.” Stockman’s meeting is being called ”The Fallacy of Gun Free School Zones.” He’s offered legislation repealing the federal gun free zone law that protects schools. So where is Stockman holding his meeting blasting the dangers of gun free zones? In the US Capitol building, a gun free zone. No guns will be allowed at Stockman’s meeting in order to guarantee Rep. Stockman’s safety. Oh the irony. Wouldn’t Stockman be even safer if everyone attended his meeting armed? I’m so confused. Not to mention, I worked on the Hill, and we held meetings all the time off the Hill. Stockman could have easily thrown this event at some place in town that permits guns. But he didn’t. I am so glad this gun law saved lives this day. Twelve died at the Navy Shipyard because they were stripped of their right to defend themselves in D.C. Gun free zones are criminal freefire zones! It is the voters and politicians who think as you do who have their blood on their hands, not law abiding citizen gun owners! Wear it well! Our ancestors wear this blood for raising such gun crazy fools in this country. Our law makers bear this blood for not controlling this a long time ago. Gun lobbyists wear this blood for their disregard to human life in favor of selling more guns. There is a gun for every citizen in this country including children..... it all just makes more innocent deaths. I may wear some of the responsibility because I am not completely against a tool. I am however against most of the tool holders because they are out of their fricken minds....  They believe this tool makes them more powerful They believe this tool makes them stronger They believe this tool will save them from our government But most frightening of all the tool holders are  which makes them all dangerous. You can see it here in these forums. The fear they feel if someone would take the gun from them is frightening. The gun is a crutch. |

It comes down to this. If your white friends and family tell you you are not racist and you have no other opinions to go on, you might be.
And this man was no dummy so he may realize my point, sometime if he ever takes the time to consider that I meant him no harm. If he ever looks into why I would say such a thing for real he may see. I can only hope. |

A gun is made to kill.
Why would there be any remorse when what you make and advocate for does what is was made to do? Just like someone posted on here there has been about 500 die from these mass shootings and there are only three billion more to go. They feel the death of a few for their cause is no biggie. There is no care if people shoot other people after all the NRA wants you to believe people are going to hurt you and people in power want your guns so they expect people to die. And then you get the religious connotations of the dead got to go home so why worry about them, be glad for them. No offense, since I know you are religious. |

Like I said, I am getting good responses from the profiles now so I will get over it and I do wish him the best. Hopefully, he will find someone who is in the same racist boat and they can be racist together and accuse the president of being Muslim together and talking about him being Kenyan born together and how he is a socialist together and how he is trying to bring the country down together....
While I will have some dinners and dates with men I will now know will not believe that crap. It is bad enough I have to deal with the white racism elsewhere but I want my romantic relationship to be free of it. |

I sent him away and we didn't talk politics that is how I didn't know all this time. And I know it is hard for white folks to hear but when you are white in a country created by white racists and white racist ruled since the beginning it is more likely you will be raised a racist than not. There are so many things wrong with this statement there is not an encyclopedia large enough to handle it all. Furthermore, I am not sure you even know what a racist is the way you are hurling the word around.  I know the truth is hard to get your head around sometimes but I know you can do it. |

So I concede that one. i was born & raised here and wasnt raised to be racist in any kinda way. my mother didnt teach me to be racist and im gonna go out on a limb here and say it was probably your ignorant logic and obsessive ramblings about politics that scared that dude off. I sent him away and we didn't talk politics that is how I didn't know all this time. It comes down to when you are dealing with a white person who may not know they are racist, it makes things difficult.
He still doesn't have a clue I am sure because I am sure he can't see his own racism. He was raised to believe it wasn't racist. His friends tell him it isn't racist, they are all white of course. He doesn't know how not to be a white racist because that is all he knows. I don't dislike him but I just can't allow that in my life. |

I know I am happy about the lives saved by this law. Yep, now he'll buy it off the street along with deadlier ammo giving the criminal that sold it to him more money to buy more. Problem solved!  Stop buying the nra fearmongering... He is dead so no such luck the shotgun was enough to get him and 12 others dead. Actually he took the gun off one of the armed security in the atrium and shot more people with the GUN HE TOOK OFF THE ARMED SECURITY THAT WAS THERE TO DEFEND THE PEOPLE.... CAN I SAY THAT AGAIN....HE TOOK THE GUN OFF THE ARMED SECURITY THERE TO DEFEND THE PEOPLE AND KILLED MORE WITH IT. So your point is that a criminal stole a gun? That's how most criminals get there guns. No the NRA premise is the armed security that was all over the place should have prevented the shooting and their arm actually made it possible for the shooter to SHOOT MORE... No, your point was that he stole a gun which is why you had that all in caps. Actually the point of the NRA that more guns would have saved the day and that it was a gun free zone are all false is what it proves. And shouting doesn't change it! I didn't shout. And the proof is there for all to see and it is proof of what I said. |

White racist created the "race card" to excuse their victimization of other races. There is no such thing as a race card.  There's also no use in arguing with people about that sort of thing; people are comfortable with their ignorance and have to make excuses for why they do and say the things they do and say. You did the right thing in leaving him alone. I had to unfriend someone a few months ago for making posts like that about gays, and guess what? He had no idea why I was pissed off.....whatever.
