Would it be all good or would it be all bad.. would it be a mixture of both good and bad..hmmm.... would they be able to be honest with their answer?..Yes and to add one more thing.. our ex's have a way of pointing out our shortcomings.... but when they are done finally being upset with us.. that is when they start to sing your praises.. of course mixed in with your shortcomings..lol.. do you have shortcomings.. are you fundamentally flawed..hmmmm. .wink

I believe they would all reply in the positive.
Save one.
Sociopaths could care less.

my ex husband? oooooo...hahaha

she is intelligent
quick witted
fast to come at ya with a comment or a come back
she is at times
down right moody
temperamental when under stress
or when she has a headache
she is fiercely loyal
about the ones she loves
a good mother
she is at times demanding
has high standards that are hard
for anyone to live up to
a good sense of humor
she is also appreciative
will write you love letters
that will make you smile
and cry..
she will notice things like
how hard you work to provide
the sacrifice you make for your family
she will say thank you
she is affectionate when the mood strikes
and at times she will take you on one
hell of a bumpy ride
she is like fire
I have always and will always be..
a moth to her flame

Mine have said to others.
I don't know how I let her get away.
I should have treated her better.
She's a good woman.

They have said this to the kids and friends.
One did say this to me.

I don't want to go backwards, it would be like going back to vomit.

NEXT!

Depends on which one you talk to, I guess.

I had one that, YEARS after we'd split, asked a mutual friend to tell me that she was going back to school, etc. That bummed me out a bit, because I knew that there was NO way I'd go back to her, & I don't want anyone pining uselessly after me. sad2

My current "ex" (still feels weird to think of her that way) still tells me "You're a good man!" which raises at least as many questions as it answers...

It was when I was a much younger man, but she would say he treated me and my daughter very good, was full of passion, hard worker, honest, but kinda of immature and at that point in his life was not ready to deal with or possessed the skills to deal with everyday real world problems that pop up.We stay in touch, she married a great guy and they have been together for 20 years. To be honest Doc it is one of my life's biggest failures and I deserved it.

Don't care, it does not matter. His perceptions of the world are different than 99.99% of the world.

"what would your ex"
Have to say about you!.. honestly..?

Answer: "He is lucky that I didn't shoot him like I shot my next husband."

A few years back, my ex was arrested for attempted murder, with her victim being her husband. She spent 6 months in jail, but was released when her husband refused to cooperate with the district attorney.

Well I was widowed but if you go back before that marriage I was really kind of shocked when I found out what my "Ex" was saying about me.

In the beginning he was shocked and furious thinking he would simply run off anyone who came near me until I took him back.

Later it got back to me that he told people "I did exactly what I said I would do, leave him and take the sons and take care of them on my own if he didn't stop what he was doing. That I was a very good wife, daughter in law, and mother; better than he ever deserved. He said he knew I would never take him back which he accepted finally but wished he had never messed up."

Was He always so gracious? When he was hurt and angry he would get loaded and come over screaming and kicking the door down but it was more to threaten to kill himself than offer to hurt me or the kids physically. he let one of his sister's run her mouth and when he remarried he let her give me and the kids a ration for a while but my direct contact with him was sullen but business like and when I told him they were showing out he shut it down. He didn't pay child support or have any contact with the kids unless I or the daughter in law initiated it. Our mutual friends told me if anyone brought up the subject of me or the boys he would just leave.

So I guess that would be pretty much good.

Would he have been able to be honest and say I was not a perfect wife? Oh for sure; yes. No marriage fails on the mistakes of one person.

Since she claimed I would always be her best friend, I would have expected that you would hear at least decent things.

Now every time we are at the same function she shoots me with dirty looks, shakes her head at me, and goes out of her way to avoid me. So I am guessing you would probably hear what a OCD task master I was, and that I was a freakin' stupid jerk!

Personally, I don't care what my X says about me. From what I have heard, she thinks I was gold. She tells people that I was "too good" for her.
Considering what I found out about her after the rose-colored glasses broke, I wouldn't believe ANYTHING she says.

what would your ex ...Have to say about you!.. honestly..?

....How is that possible?
What you are basically asking is "be honest with your opinion about what a person that has probably become a stranger to you by now (most likely due to failure to communicate adequately and just not understanding each other fully) might think about you on reflecting on their past according to their personal bias."

Hmmmm...in that case my ex would probably say "Oh...that guy? Yeah, I saw him for a while...he was okay I guess...why are you asking me? I don't know you. What are you doing in my house? What are you doing with my shoes? Did you eat all of my chicken piccata? Why do you carry a terrier in a papoose like Master Blaster from Thunderdome? Is the dog telling you to ask me this? Are you going to hurt me? What's going on?!"

Would it be all good or would it be all bad

Depends.

Are they speaking at my funeral?
All good.

Are they on a new first date and the other person has asked if they were over me, their ex?
Then it would probably be all bad to show they were and there was no chance of getting back together.

would they be able to be honest with their answer?

Depends on who was asking and why, what kind of mood they were in, and how much time they had.

If you asked them during the middle of work, probably dishonest, just to get the question over with so they can go back to work.

If they were being questioned by scientific researchers, probably as honest as they could be.

If they were suffering from PMS, had a long day at work, were just ghosted by the last guy after a pump n dump, got a parking ticket from a creepy cop, then probably dishonest and a means to vent stress against men maybe.

do you have shortcomings

In some areas.
In others I have longcomings and a great longcoming o face

are you fundamentally flawed

Yeah.
I'm finite and fallible.
That's fundamentally flawed.

I got serious flak from both, but never directly. Via the kids, friends, my mom and so on.

1st one couldn't get over me wanting out. Not sure he has till this day, even though he's been with a new partner for some 11-12 years.

2nd one has NPD, so you can expect serious flak. No way will a narcissist risk losing face by saying he was an @-hole. And praising me would mean that to him. So he won't do that. Ever.

Oh, as a side note: the quality of my BJs had nothing to do with it

My ex, the ex that matters, has very kind things to say about me. As I would speak very kindly of her.

We're still friends.
