“Just think about it. In this case, in this GAO test, ten different federal buildings in different cities in the country were all compromised,” Lieberman is quoted as saying in the report. “If a terrorist group just did that in two or three federal buildings, it would not only really hurt some people; it would create a real crisis of confidence here in the United States about our homeland security.”

Yes. Just think if the confidence was shaken...what if people find out about this?!? *wipes the dripping sarcasm off my keyboard*

so, obviously Mr. Lieberman does not think that any confidence or trust will be shaken by the release of this information....whoa whoa whoa

I mean those that did trust Homeland Security measures...

on the other hand...Thank God that people take off their shoes prior to boarding a plane!!!

and that you can only carry on 3oz. bottles of liquids...AND they have to be in a zip loc baggie...(like a dime bag size)

no matter how much darkness you pile on a flame/light...it will not put it out.

achieving the balance of light and dark within one's self is key...I believe that if you can "see" it within...you can find it elsewhere as well.

go to a acupuncture or a reiki specialist...make sure they are certified.

and the post above about the whole food vitamins...great!! also try to cut out the refined sugars...and some of the gluten out of your diet...

also, have your blood checked out too...you could be low in iron..which helps carry oxygen around your body...which is a good thing when it comes to energy!!

a good acupuncture or reiki specialists will also be able to help with whole herbs and vitamins!!

lighthouselover I am really sorry for your loss. I don't know you, but I feel sad because of your loss.tears

NO parent should experience their child's death.

I would like to believe that he went somewhere much better then here. If it is true is for everyone to decide, but it does give strength if one believes in this.flowerforyou

thank you for your words...they touch my heart.

I know the feeling that Michael's mother is feeling...the pain that is so unbearable...it is not his fame that she is mourning...it is her son...that child that she held as a baby...that is what the memorial is about...the memories...the stories of Michaels life...the smile...when their hearts were breaking...

I do believe that there is more than this life and I hang on to that...

Thank you Connie~

I just feel for that family so much...the sudden and unexpected death is so difficult, as is any death of a loved one...

they are a real family...maybe a bit different than yours or mine, yet a family none the less...

May the peace and light of love guide them through their painful road...

I loved that the people who spoke told the stories of the life of Michael...his brothers, his friends...those are the times in the memorial that really got to me...

at my son's memorial my daughter and I both spoke...and the memorial we had out in Colorado in the Rockies...so many of his friends spoke..they told story after story...it was wonderful!!

Those were the moments in the memorial that were really difficult for me...yet, the most precious to me at the same time.

May God Bless those children and the family so that someway, someday they may find a way to make the pain they are in livable for it will NEVER go away...

This song was played at my son's memorial and I will put the lyrics here~

When I get where I'm going
on the far side of the sky.
The first thing that I'm gonna do
Is spread my wings and fly.

I'm gonna land beside a lion,
and run my fingers through his mane.
Or I might find out what it's like
To ride a drop of rain

(Chorus:)
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
there'll be only happy tears.
I will shed the sins and struggles,
I have carried all these years.
And I'll leave my heart wide open,
I will love and have no fear.
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
Don't cry for me down here.

I'm gonna walk with my grandaddy,
and he'll match me step for step,
and I'll tell him how I missed him,
every minute since he left.
Then I'll hug his neck.

(Chorus)

So much pain and so much darkness,
in this world we stumble through.
All these questions, I can't answer,
so much work to do.

But when I get where I'm going,
and I see my Maker's face.
I'll stand forever in the light,
of His amazing grace.
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
there'll be only happy tears.
Hallelujah!
I will love and have no fear.
When I get where I'm going.
Yeah when I get where I'm going.

May you find some peace in your thoughts
and some joy in your heart that sits along side the pain you feel~

Your Mom's light will shine bright within you today and each day forward...
Tell her stories, talk to her and about her...

write your thoughts about her down as our memories are rushing through us in times like this...

Every time you do a random act of kindness, smile...and thank your Mom!

Peace be with you~

Make sure to take lots of pics and some videos!!

Pick up random things where you go...

(I brought along a few baggies in my purse/pockets)

at some point, it was great fun to take out the pictures, take out all the random things we picked up and make a scrapbook of the time!

I was always picking up things on sale to use for these projects...kept them in a box...funny, even when my children got older, we would sometimes take out the box of "prized rif raf" and put together a scrap book of sorts...

Those are so priceless now...they can never be replicated...

and the kids and I talked and talked and talked while we were doing these projects...

Just have fun with your children...sometimes, it is fun to just color!!

I'd like to know, are there any parents out here with children with ADHD, who've changed their diets an seen any improvement in symptoms an behavior? I've decided to cut out any drinks other than water, milk or 100% fruit juices. No junk foods such as lil debs, cookies, etc. Plenty of fresh fruits an veggies. shades

There are people who work with holistic pharmacists who treat children with ADHD without medication. There are life styles that are better as well...

taking out the refined sugar of anyone's life style is a great benefit, IMO.

To be honest, with all the kids and families that I have worked with over the years...in patient, out patient, in home therapy...blah blah blah...there are things that work for one child/family that do not work for the next.

I think that CHADD has some different life styles on their site...they used to anyway. They specialize in ADD/ADHD issues and work along side of NAMI...not instead of NAMI.

Remember, children metabolize things differently as well...boys are generally faster than girls, prepubescent are faster than 15 year olds...

the most successful intervention that I have ever used, or have seen successful on a consistent basis across many children/families over time is the use of ROUTINE!! keeping things pretty much routine is/has been the most successful intervention and the one that works fairly quickly...

good luck! I think that the positive environment that you provide for your children is great too!!

ok, from what I have heard you are very lucky with your craigslist experiences...I have no experience with CL, I have just heard some crazy things...

there is a lot to be said of getting into the forums of a social networking site, IMO, anyway...

there are many people who post in the forums and even if they are not looking for a partner themselves, they may know someone who is...

and after you post for a while, people get to know a little bit about you...it helps with the networking...

Good Luck!!
