I just don't go near anyone with a ring on their left hand...better to be safe than sorry.

Whew! I don't wear any rings...I'm safebigsmile

God I love playing Devil's Advocate. laugh laugh

Personally, I wouldn't hit on a chick with a ring on that finger. But what I am talking about is that the nature of most men is that it doesn't matter if she does or doesn't have a ring. Or, if you will, some guys will start talking to a chick and then before you know it, they are in a moral conflict. Should they continue to pursue this married woman, with her accepting the advances and wanting him to pursue her? Or should he not? Once you have gone too far, it is hard to stop.

So, by your definition, the majority of men have control issues and love nothing better than the thrill of the conquest. I would have to disagree on that, just because, in my own personal experience, most men do have a clear idea of right and wrong, and know when to stop an advance that could end up compromising his morals. Of course, there are those men out there that simply do not care, they are all about notches on the headboard, regardless. But in my world, these men are not the majority.

Look, I am just speaking truth. Most dudes do not care about a chick being married. In fact, in some ways, it is a "challenge" to the dude to see if he can gain any interest from the married woman. Hey, guys (in general) love the thrill of the hunt. And in some circles of dudeness, a married woman is like the top prize. I know that sounds horrible, but it is the truth.

This is probably one reason why "most dudes" are still single. Just sayin

Ohhhhhhhh goodness there are plenty of women that think that same way as well it is not just men shshsh if that was the fact my ex would not have scored shshsslaphead

Truth many do see it as a safety net and a one night fling on both parts as well as a challenge.

Besides heck it would not happen if both did not want it to happen...

I agree that most men (I will even say about 90%) do have a clear idea of right and wrong. Society tells us what is right and wrong. Our parents do as well. But while we know what is right, doing the right thing is much harder. Yes, there are guys who are about numbers, notches on the belt, etc, etc. My point is that while just about every guy does have a clear idea of right and wrong, when the opportunities present themselves, saying no to a woman is hard to do. There are alot of guys who can say no very easily. I am actually one of these kinds of guys. But even I have been tempted, and came close to breaking that line. And I have seen men and women who I thought would never commit adultry succumb to it.

Anyways....let's just say we are both right.laugh laugh

Third finger, left hand = Married. Unless I'm told different, I'm not gonna engage (so to speak) ...

I guess I'm not most guys, then, as I wouldn't do this ever. Having been married to a woman who cheated on me, I would never inflict that kind of pain on someone else...mad

That's what my e-hubby told me....before he had an affair.

Well since I don't ever plan on having another engagement/wedding ring to wear on that finger, I wear whatever ring I want to, when I want to. Why waste the finger??? bigsmile

I have at least 2 rings on both hands, left ring finger is sterling and turquoise. I've been told it could be assumed a wedding ring...

and I'm not married.

I've seen a lot of people with silver and turquoise rings for wedding rings..

I wear a ring on my ring finger on the right hand. You will not believe how many times I fool people thinking I was married. I look at them and am like, "Wrong hand!"

Fascinating...! I never thought of any ring being perceived as such, though I could understand a band or fancy jewel.

I get hit on MORE with a ring on my finger... guys check to see if it's there, and then the little light bulb goes off in their head that says "desperate house wife"

a very obviously expensive ring is tempting.
she might get everything in the divorce settlement!

yep. it could act as a deterent.

but it appears to be the other hand in some countries. and some cultures don't wear rings as a sign of commitment.
