If what I am told is any clue it is because Men rarely see a woman as a threat when they first start dateing and attempting relationships. They wear their heart on their sleeve and love lustiliy until they have been crushed or shredded resoundingly by one or more of the fairer sex. It isn't bad enought that they have to be castigated by the female they are inclined toward they are often harrassed an humiliated by friends, family, employers, and even the courts for their social failures. Not particularly fair when you factor in the cost and ratio of success in the sellection process. How many (non-pregnant) females do you know that are really motivated to accept a young twenty something peer? That is a decade plus of rejectio and that produces fear.n

Thanks it comes from many years working with young soldiers and veterans; some who would rather destroy themself in alcohol or battle thann admidt the abuse that has been heaped on them.

I mean, yeah it may be fun to fantasize about at times for some, but to create such unrealistic images and set standards to such is setting yourself up for failure and disappointment. This is why there are no good guys/girls/men/women to many.
